Designed for and Exclusive to: Individuals living with Parkinson's disease who have already completed all 16 therapy sessions of the full LSVT LOUD® treatment program.

Program Description: 
These classes will incorporate LSVT LOUD daily exercises, but they include more than just exercise.  They will focus on ensuring your grander voice is brought into real world engaging conversations.  The group setting will allow you to work on your skills with people from your community.  LSVT LOUD for LIFE classes will incorporate cognitive activities and conversation around fun activities and hobbies including music, current events and more all while maintaining those exercises learned throughout the LSVT LOUD protocol.   

The LSVT (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment) Programs for individuals with PD have been developed and researched over the past 20 years beginning with a focus on the speech motor system (LSVT LOUD) and more recently have been extended to address limb motor systems (LSVT BIG). 

Engaging in this class will promote your ability to: 
- Engage in a group setting 
Improve vocal quality and volume
- Take part in great conversations and fun 
Communicate effectively with others 
Connect with others


Facilitator Biography

Alison Sprengelmeyer, M.Ed, CCC-SLP | LiveWell Faculty
Alison has been a Speech Pathologist for over 24 years, focusing on the care and support of individuals with cognitive change throughout their journey for the past 20 years.  She has diverse experience as both a treating clinician as well as a clinical educator in Adult Rehabilitation and University teaching roles throughout the Northeast, and has been privileged to have been the Speech Pathologist at LiveWell for the past nine years. 

Alison is passionate about ensuring all individuals experiencing cognitive change and other neurological challenges have all the information they need to make informed decisions about their care in the present and the future in order to support their individual goals and quality of life. Her most recent endeavor has been achieving certification in the LSVT LOUD and LOUD for LIFE programs to assist individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders in having their voices heard. 

Alison lives in Cheshire with her husband, George, a Professor of Music at Quinnipiac University, and their two teenage girls.  In her free time she enjoys training her two dogs for agility competitions.
