Program Description:
Join us for a one-hour, 12-mile, narrated round-trip train ride into the heart of the unspoiled Connecticut River Valley on the historic Essex Steam Train through the quintessential New England towns of Deep River and Chester. A natural highlight is the undeveloped Selden Neck State Park.
Afterward our train excursion, we will meet around 12:30 PM for lunch at Bill's Seafood Restaurant overlooking the beautiful Patchogue River and the Singing Bridge.
About the Presenter
Brian Connolly | Community Engagement Partner
Brian has been passionate about community education, advocacy, and empowerment for the past 40 years. Through a diversity of roles; Chair of the Hartford Hospital Stroke and Family Advisory Council, Director of Marketing and Communication, elected member of the Farmington Town Council, and pioneer member of the LiveWell Resilient Living Center Faculty leading Social Café’s, Meet-Up’s and cognitive programming, Brian focuses his attention on understanding what’s needed to create situations where we can all grow into our highest potential.
Brian’s superpower is being present with you and creating the perfect moment to make anyone smile. He lives with his wife in Farmington.
