Program Description:

Over the last 4 months we have explored the 5 Blue Zones across the globe: Okinawa, Ikaria, Nicoya, Sardinia, and Loma Linda. We’ve learned the longevity lifestyles of centenarians living in these blue zones, and how age defying lifestyles can be replicated and applied to live longer and healthier lives now. Please join us for an exclusive fifth gathering and creative session as we explore the creation of our own 'Blue Zone' here at LiveWell. We will revisit and reflect on the "Power Nine Principles of Blue Zones", including perhaps the most important 'Wine at 5", as we move toward a brighter future in the hope to live to 100 in a supportive community.

In this program, you will:
- Explore a group viewing of the Netflix series
- Expand your awareness of the Blue Zone concepts
- Have opportunities to connect with others and discuss the concepts presented in the series

Brian Connolly | Community Engagement Partner
Brian has been passionate about community education, advocacy, and empowerment for the past 40 years. Through a diversity of roles; Chair of the Hartford Hospital Stroke and Family Advisory Council, Director of Marketing and Communication, elected member of the Farmington Town Council, and pioneer member of the LiveWell Resilient Living Center Faculty leading Social Café’s, Meet-Up’s and cognitive programming, Brian focuses his attention on understanding what’s needed to create situations where we can all grow into our highest potential.
