Program Description:
A legacy letter, also known as an ethical will, is a personal statement that communicates what matters most in a person’s life. Learn how to prepare this document that captures your history, stories, and values to share with family, friends, and future generations. Jane Fisher, Certified Senior Advisor®, will cover the history, purpose, and content of legacy letters and get you inspired to write yours.
Facilitator Biography
Jane Fisher
Jane Fisher, Certified Senior Advisor® and Certified Dementia Practitioner, is the co-owner of Oasis Senior Advisors of Central CT, a free service that helps older adults and their families navigate senior living and care options including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and transition care. Jane has an undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration from Quinnipiac College. Following a career as a retirement community administrator and nursing home administrator, she earned a Master’s Degree in Library & Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the City University of New York. Jane worked in public libraries, including several positions at the New York Public Library, and from 2013-2023 she served as the Director of the Wallingford Public Library.
