Program Description:
This program is a fun and social way to connect with others and is perfect as a couple’s experience together. The gentle flowing sequence of movements you'll engage in during this class will encourage improvements in cognition and balance to reduce the risk of falling. Drawing inspiration from the practice of Tai Chi, participants will enjoy benefits for the body and mind.Join this small group program designed with adaptations specific to meeting the movement challenges experienced in aging and aging with cognitive change.

Facilitator Biography
Shannon Kiley | LiveWell Faculty
Shannon brings together diverse bodies of knowledge and experience into her theoretical framework and practices. As a master’s level board certified music therapist, she offers music as healing in a wide variety of settings including hospitals, schools, homes, rehabilitation centers, hospices and residential living communities.
She is an award-winning musician, songwriter, and music producer, releasing music under the moniker Olive Tiger. Shannon views the music studio and the creative process as a call into growth and transformation and loves to invite others into that space. Shannon began practicing tai chi in 2008 with the Taoist Tai Chi and remains fascinated with meditative movement. She cultivates regular yoga and mindfulness practices and loves to read and hike.

Alicia Brockett | Engagement Team Specialist
Alicia has found her life’s purpose engaging with people living with dementia. She pours her heart into her work building connections and spreading joy everywhere she goes. In her free time she fuels her love for creativity and nature by engaging in different kinds of art projects. She expresses her passion for art and self-growth through her small business, Soulful Zen. Having spent the last year transforming her business into a mission to empower women(+) through art and good intentions, Alicia is thrilled to now share her expertise in candle making and jewelry making with the Livewell community.
